SADIE NARDINI, TOP NYC YOGA TEACHER AND CO-OWNER OF THE FIERCE CLUB IN NYC, SHOWS YOU WHICH MAT IS HER FAVE, TO HELP YOU GET STRONGER AND MORE STABLE IN YOUR…
loved your kick to handstand, it was so graceful 🙂
Thanks:) It was harder than it looks. But containing one’s power creates grace. That, and a good mat!
Tnak you for this! =)
Your videos inspire me to move with the kind of freedom and power and beauty I see in your movements…I’m looking forward to yoga class later!
Thanks so much! I’m honored to hear you say this.
ur like a cat
i’v been takin yoga classes for some time now.. i droped four sizes off.. and i’m feelin great,, but i wish i could bee as flexible as you are,, any suggetions?
I love it too ^_^ hehe
has to be one of the coolest chicks on yoga by far!
I have a powerful suggestion for you: just keep doing what you’re doing, because it’s obviously working. Add some flexibility poses in like standing forward bends, fan pose, pigeon, and backbends like wheel. You’ll get there for sure!
heheh…thanks! You have to be one of the coolest people to be able to compliment others like this. Rock on!
thanks, darlin! I’m just doing what I’m meant for…it’s a blast!
I am pretty old school, these days i put a bathroom mat in the middle of my sticky mat, its just so comfortable and soft, it actually transformed my practice, as i can do sliding stuff that the rubber mat would not allow, they are cheap and replacable..
Brilliant! Great for padding the knees and hips when they’re down, too. I’ll pass that on to my students!
the posts are still great, read and enjoyed your book a while back too, that mural is spectacular by the way, thanks and namaste 🙂
“I love my mat” very sweet! 🙂
Thanks! I’m partial to it too;)
Thanks so much! More coming soon….
Thanks! And thank YOU so much too. Glad you’re here!
The Brahmins would just do it outdoors, or wherever. Yoga mats are a recent western invention. In fact, actively seeking out discomfort took up a large part of the Brahminical ascetic practice, with which yoga was associated.
Going outside and doing yoga on dirt is always an option but I prefer the yoga mat and yoga studios:)
Thanks for posting this. I have a thicker sticky mat, and when I sweat it starts to itch against my skin. I definitely want to check this out.
I like my soft dimple covered yoga mat for good grip from USAPRO.
Hi Sadie, how do you clean this particular type of mats (Jade)? Thanks a lot. Have been going through reviews on yoga mats before buying. I’m down to 2, Jade and Manduka.
